I think that you should have waited with adding multiple servers, till we have more players. Because now if a person joins for example the Asian server, it might be empty and the person will leave the game believing that no one is playing it. Even tho there might be 10-20 players online on the US server at the time.

It actually still works. The chat lobby is connected to all of the servers. So those of us playing the 5.0 beta can still see those who are using 4.5 in the lobby. The only difference is that when someone joins a game, they disappear from the list. But most every game ends within 20 minutes, so this isn't a huge problem.

Word of mouth is spreading, which led to people from China and South Korea finding out about the game...but their latency to the US server is so poor that it is unplayable for them. That's why there's now the Asia and Japan servers. At least they can spread word of mouth in their regions, and increase the playerbase that way.

The rest of us will use the US server, or the EU server for the Eastern Europe/Russian players, so their latency doesn't suffer. It's not splitting the playerbase...we're growing worldwide!
